Magnificent Male Experience

The Magnificent Male Experience is a year-long, in-person and virtual program geared towards getting Black, male high school juniors and seniors enrolled in college. We facilitate an in-person weekend experience where scholars are immersed in our ²Ø¾«¸ó on-campus culture, and are able to leave equipped with the skills, knowledge, and insight to create the collegiate experience that best suits them and equips them for success in the workplace.

For our Centennial year here at ²Ø¾«¸ó our theme for the program will be “Rebirth of the Renaissance”, encouraging our young brothers to reimagine their identity, the meaning of brotherhood, and their roles in their local to global communities. We are excited for out 2025-2026 cohort!

Our year-long virtual program offers the mentees the opportunity to speak with professionals from diverse, working backgrounds so that they can see snapshots of what their future may hold for them. If you are interested in this program for your high school small student, please reach out to Bro.Desmond Collins via email at dcolli11@xula.edu, phone number at (504) 520-5156, or via Instagram @bro.desmond.xula. Thank you, and Stay Magnificent!

Keynote speaker Chris Chatmon of Kingmakers of Oakland energized the 2024-2025 cohort of Magnificent Male mentees with his timely and inspiring conversation. We thank Mr. Chatmon and Kingmakers of Oakland for their partnership.

The 2024-2025 Cohort of over 100 mentees and mentors stands in front of the ²Ø¾«¸ó Administration building steps to pose for their annual picture.
